Harris County contracted with Gooden Engineers to develop Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for the 1.2-mile extension of El Dorado Boulevard 1.2 miles from Beamer Road to Blackhawk Boulevard. CDGCE managed a team of sub-consultants and coordinated with the City of Friendswood, Friendswood Development Corporation, Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD). Creative use of existing detention allowed Harris County to avoid construction and maintenance costs associated with a new facility.
The roadway crosses HCFCD Unit A114-00-00; CDGCE staff designed two 100 foot long, three-span bridges over the Unit.
